Brazil/Moving to Brazil

Question
Hello,

I am quite possibly moving to Brazil with my boyfriend and I really, really need help figuring out all the legalities of entering the Country. I don't have a clue where to start and I'd really appreciate any guidance that anyone could provide. I do not even have a passport at this point. My boyfriend is relocating for work so his Company is handling all of his business but not for me. I really need some help getting started if some one could please let me know what I will need to do in order to relocate to Brazil from the US. I've been looking online for days and can't seem to find any solid answers.

Thank you in advance to anyone that would be willing to point me in the right direction.

Answer
Sheri,

My recommendation is to contact the Brazilian consulate covering your state (see link below). They can provide all the "solid" legal information you need.

You can also search the allexperts site for previous answers, since many people have asked similar questions.

Good luck and have fun in Brazil!
