Question
Hi I have a couple of questions I hope you can help me with,  I am planning to move to brazil with my boyfriend next november what kind of visa will i need and how do i get it   another i have a friend from brazil how can i help her get a visitors visa or even a working visa

Answer
At first you will only qualify for a tourist visa and nothing else unless;

1) you plan on getting married, at which point he brings you in on a fiance visa. Under a fiance visa, you must be married and registered as a married couple withing 9 months, I believe, or the visa expires.

2) you can get a company to sponsor you for a business visa. Rare.

3) you are part of a church and can go down there on a missionary visa. Rare.

Re: your friend from Brazil. Are you trying to get her into the US? I didnt understand your last question, but I will assume you are trying to get her into the US. She has to apply for a tourist visa, go to the consulate whereever she is from -- usually Sao Paulo or Rio -- and cross her fingers that they will allow a single woman to enter the US.

You can only get her a workers visa if you own a company, or know someone who does, that wants to sponsor her and hire her and bring her into the country.

Good luck,

Ken
