Question
Are there any business etiquette issues that people should be aware of when working with people from Brazil? Also any cultural taboos?

Answer
Hello Patsy,

Brazilians are very informal and easy to deal with. However, it is very important to establish a good personal relationship with them by going together to lunch or dinner, asking about their family and bringing small gifts (extra score if you bring something for their kids).

Please, don't get upset if they shown up late to meetings, and avoid aggressive sales tactics, everything moves slow in Brazil.

You must avoid talking about Brazilian problems or trying to express your country "cultural superiority". It is important to have good matter when eating (don't use your hands to hold food or talk with food in our mouth).
