Expert: Edison - 3/31/2009

My visa application and passport is at the Atlanta Consulate. It has been there since April 19th.  I have plane ticket to leave for Brazil on April 2nd.  They informed me that my visa would not be ready till April 6th.  What can I do?

Hello Craig,

Sorry for hearing about your visa problem. Unfortunately, most Brazilian consulates are very slow (2 to 4 weeks) in issuing visas and they will only expedite it for family emergency reasons (sickness or death). Otherwise, you will need to change your airline ticket.
