Question
Hi Edison,

First of all i do really love the help given to us with regards to Brazil.

Anyways, i am getting married on 4th December 2010 to a brazilian national
n me a Indian and pretty much excited to go there for the first time too.

So these are my questions and i do need your guidance and suggestions:

1. I was born in Kuwait and i only have a Certificate of Baptism as a proof of
my birth, the church in brazil has accepted my documentation and have
excepted our marriage but apparently the local cartorio did except my
certificate of baptism and insist for a birth certificate. I do not reside in
Kuwait any more or neither do have any one there to furnish me that
document. Is there any other way to tell cartorio that my DOB is true. i even
got my Passport attested, notarized & legalized too. Any suggestions as i will
be goign to brazil on 24th nov

2. i got my visa from the brazilian consulate in singapore and issued on 22nd
october 2010. the duration of stay is 90 days but the funny thing says the
visa is valid for 30 days and maximum for 180 days. Just like to know can i
travel to brazil on 24th November.

Cheers and looking for you reply.

Answer
Hello Eddie,

Sorry, but I am not an expert in these subjects. My recommendation is to contact the Brazilian embassy/consulate in India for clarification and legal advice.

I believe that you could also get marry in another country and them legalize it in Brazil and India.
