Answer
Hi Cheyenne.
I think you should ask the Canadian government immigration office for numbers of Brazilian immigrants.
Brazil has many people who are poor, not enough jobs for every person who wants or needs one, even if they have education or other training, many service jobs with very low salaries, and less opportunity for people to make a better life for their families than in North America. They probably move to Canada for jobs and opportunity.

Brazilians wear what you might wear in the summer, since it is warm in much of the country throughout the year. However, the far south is somewhat cooler (think early fall in Canada) in the South American winter months. For men and boys, a lot of brands of surfer clothing (Billabong, Quicksilver) that are popular in the U.S. are also popular in Brazil, as are other trendy upscale brands from the U.S. Women often wear dangly earrings made from natural materials, and very high heels to dress up. Many Brazilians whose families came from other countries sometimes use the traditional clothing from those home countries. And Brazilians do enjoy dressing up to participate in Carnaval. Some gauchos (cowboys) in southern Brazil use traditional cowboy dress. And some native tribes, who mostly use just regular T-shirt and shorts, have traditional dress too.

Good luck with your project. Perhaps someday you can come visit Brazil and see it for yourself.
