Question
Hello
I am working on a project and have determined that there are about 40 million units in Brazil. Do you have any idea of the percentage breakdown between single family structures and condominium/apartments. I would appreciate an approximation
Thank you

Answer
You can get that number from the government, or from Caixa Economica Federal. However, if you dont speak Portuguese, it might be hard to obtain. Im on vacation at the moment so cant get into any research for you. Often I can fidn this out on line or through my journalism sources. You can also try to contact Gafisa, which is one of Brazil's biggest publicly traded housing companies. They will speak English. Look up their website and contact them through email and start from there. I have no idea, so cant even give you a ballpark figure.
