Question
Hi, A girlfriend and I are planning a trip to Brazil for January. We would like to know the best way to get there from Trinidad. Our plan is to fly to Guyana then take a bus across to Brazil (Rio and San Paulo) Then to the waterfall. The trip is for 10 days. Is this advisable. We both speak English and are female.

Answer
Hello Janelle,
Do you have any idea how far Guyana is from Rio?
Of course the best way is by plane but also the most expensive.
English is fine but it depends in which cities and hotels you are staying.
If you look at the map, Macapa, the first brazilian city in Amapa, near Guyana, is 2204 miles from Rio - a 6 days trip.
The waterfall you mention I suppose is Foz de Iguaçu, at least more 5 days by bus.
Please think it over again and I will be happy to help you.
Brazil is a huge country and the best way to visit it is by plane. Otherwise take at least 1 month vacation.
Regards

Brazil
