Question
My daughter was born in Brazil 13 years ago. Her Brazilian father and I got married in The Netherlands but divorced after some years. Now I'm planning to live and work in Brazil and want to get my permanencia. When she got her official papers after being born, they told me I do have the right for a Permanancia on that base. How do I apply and is it better to apply from Holland or from Brazil? Our Brazilian family will be cooperative.

Answer
Hello Sonya,

I am not an expert in visa issue and in order to get the correct information, please contact the Brazilian Consulate in Rotterdam (http://www.brazilianembassy.nl/english/index.htm) and also ask your Brazilian family to contact the Federal Police (responsible for immigration paperwork) in Brazil.

Good luck!!
