ANSWER: Dear Ashu,
It is a difficult answer as it dependes where you are going to live.
S. Paulo is a very big city and you can find all sorts of prices.
Metro is good but not excellent and you should inform yourself to know where exactly will your job be located.
School is not cheap!
Give me some more inputs and perhaps I might be of more help.

AnswerHello,
Presidente Altino is in Osasco one of S. Paulo's neiborhood. Unfortunately I am not familiar with this part of the city.
It is like a city within S. Paulo.
A rental may vary from R$ 2.000,00 to R$ 4.000,00 a month.
I think that if you don' t earn at least R$ 5.000,00 per month the change is not worth!
Brazil has become a very expensive country and your child will have to go to a private school as he does not speak portuguese. I am not familiar with prices.
Food is the less expensive thing in Brazil if you cook home.
For example, I expend more or less R$ 1.500,00 for me and my husband per month.
But.... I think your company should help you to find a place, a school etc.
Good luck!
