Brazil/Customs

Question
Hi Edison,

I'm hoping to be able to bring some electronics from the US to sell in Brazil.

Do you happen to remember the amount you can declare on the Customs form?

Thanks,
Michael

Answer
Michael,

I think the limit is US$500 and you need to present the receipts. However, this limit doesn’t apply if you are visiting Brazil, the electronics belong to you and are for personal use. Also, you need to bring these items back when returning from your trip. For example, every time I go to Brazil I bring my laptop with me.
