i am going to start an intern in RIO in january.
please tell me, how much it costs for food,accomodation
(1 bed room,1 living,kitchen,toilet),travel,taxi,resturants etc..please.

The cost in Rio depends on where you live and your lifestyle.

I believe you can "survive" with US$1,000 per month. The public transportation system is good and cheap in Brazil and you would need at least $15 per day for food.

Try to find a roommate to save on the rent (look for places around universities).

However, don't expect going to fancy restaurants and places with this money.

Just for your reference: the minimum wage in Brazil is around US$200 per month. Income levels in Brazil: poor - less than US$500/month. Lower middle class: US$500 to US$1,500/month. Middle class: US$1,500 to US$3,000/month. High Middle class: US$3,000 to US$10,000/month.
