Question
Am informed by the Brazilian Consulate in Toronto that I will need to have a monthly deposit of $2000.00 American dollares to obtain a "permanent resident visa".
Do you feel that, with less, I can survive in Belo Horizont, Minas Gerais?
Am troubled. Am 70. And, I'd REALLY REALLY like or rather LOVE to live there.
Can you shed some light PLEASE.???

Answer
Hello Aires,

I believe that you can live a reasonable life in Belo Horizonte with $1700.00 Canadian Dollars (CAD) if you don't have any major health problem.

You would need 300-500 CAD for housing, 300-400 for food and 300-400 for health insurance.

Enjoy "Belo"!
