Question
Hi Edison,

Im a college student planing to study for one semester abroad in Sao Paulo. I need to discuss living costs with my parents. Can you give me information on housing possibilities for students, and their costs? Every day life costs? Basically anything you think can be usefull I will be extremely gratefull!

Answer
Hello Daniel,

I don't know a lot about student housing in Sao Paulo. You can try to find roommates through the school you are going or English Language schools in Sao Paulo. You can find them on the web (I listed some below) and send them letters asking for roommates. A lot of students would love to live with you to share cultures and improve their English skills.

I would say you need from 500 to 1,000 US dollars per month for your housing and everyday expenses. After finding a roommate, you can ask him/her for more detailed cost of living information.

Some English schools in Sao Paulo:

Good luck and have fun!
