Question
Hi, I am thinking about applying for a school in Sao Paulo and I have a question. I currently work for a news paper in Iceland and I can have a job with school for that paper that would pay round 800 - 1000 $ but I am told Sao Paulo is the most exspensive city in South-america. Would it be possible for me to rent a small room or an apartment and live for that amount of money each month?

Answer
Hello Atli Thor Fanndal,

I think you can live with around US$ 1,000 in Sao Paulo if you can find a roommate to share an apartment or rent a room in a private house.

I don't know anybody in Sao Paulo that could help, but you can try these sites:

Good luck and have fun in Brazil.
