My church is coming to Brazil March 7, 2007, and my assignment is to research the topic of food & fashion of Brazil.  Any help you can provide will be most helpful

Brazil is a large country with many wonderful regional food. The national dish is “feijoada”: black beans and pork stew. Some other favorites ones are: gaucho barbecue, shrimp stroganoff and fish stew with coconut ("moqueca"). The following sites has some great recipes:

Most of Brazilians live less than 100 miles from the coast/beaches. Also the average temperature is 80-90 F. So, shorts, sandals, and light clothes are very common in Brazil. Many Brazilians also follow the latest fashion in Europe and United States. Check these sites for more information:
