Question
I've made and frozen several pies; when baking them, would it be best to thaw it out at room temperature first, or just pop the frozen pie into the oven?  Is there any danger (germ-wise) of thawing the frozen pie first?  Thanks!

Answer
susan,i have done both,as long as the inside temp is sufficient to kill any germs, there is no concern for contamination, the only advantage to thawing out is to speed up the baking process, the more frozen the pie the longer it takes to beke.i hope this is helpfull, good luck.bob connolly,www.millsbakery.com
