AboutElyse Grau Expertise I can answer any questions about baking. The only thing I'm not too good at is baking pies, nor do I know much about high altitude baking.
Experience I have been baking for over 30 years. One of my hobbies is creating recipes, most of those for baked goods. I made my own wedding cake. Currently I prefer to bake healthier things. I use a lot of whole wheat and other whole grain flours, and prefer to use less sugar or sugar substitutes in my baking. I do a lot with fruit.
Question Good day
I want to produce humburger buns ( Mac Do Like) can you please help me for the recipe and the appropriate needed equipement
Answer Ben:
Use any bread recipe that you like. If you haven't made bread before, look for one that says it makes a soft bread, the recipe will probably contain milk (liquid or powder) and maybe some honey.
Prepare the recipe as for bread up to the point of shaping the loaves. Instead, roll or pat the dough to about 1/2" thickness. Use a biscuit cutter to cut buns out, slightly smaller than the size you want them to be. Let them rise about 20-30 minutes, then bake about the same amount of time.
If you want to sprinkle poppy or sesame seeds on them, brush them with a little milk or an egg mixed with a tsp of water, then apply the seeds. The tops will get a little browner this way, so you may want to cover them with foil in the last 5 minutes of baking.
The only equipment you need is a large bowl and a baking sheet.
