Question
I feel as though the world has ended and she should've just shot me instead.  I
truly thought we were going to work things out when she invited me over to her
place new years eve morning....then after leaving her "new" place....she calls me
an hour later telling me never to talk/call her again.  I'm utterly devestated

Hi Todd.... WoW!  Ouch.... first things first... you have to still eat, breathe, shower, and sleep.... Those are fundamental daily activities that you need to make sure that you take care of and there are times when even those simple things are going to be very difficult to do.  Then, as each day goes by - each week goes by - and each month goes by it gets a little better.... it is a very slooowww process.  Try not to spend too much time alone.  Surround yourself with family and friends who love you and want to help you through this time.  Allow yourself 10 minutes a day to cry and "think" about all of the great things that happened in your relationship.  Then, you need to step up and start working on your own life and what you want - your goals and your dreams.... those are very important whether your with her or not.  Try finding something that you enjoy doing and try to do it for an hour a day..... This is a really really tough time.... It isn't easy, but it is something that I promise you will get through....If you can't start doing the daily things.. you may want to find a counselor to help you through it.... .Good Luck.... and I hope this helps..
