Question
Hi Erica,my name is Destiny and im 18.Me and my boyfriend have been goin out for 1 year and 3 months and i recently just broke up with him because i felt like he was forgetting about me,hes under a lot of pressure with school and family drama so i thought if me being out of his hair it would be easier for him.At first he didnt want to except it but then he was ok with it.Then a few days later he started gettin mad because he thought i had already moved on to a new boy, which i didnt because i still love him and im just not ready for a new realtionship.Later on we settled things and we became cool with each other. The next day i asked him if he was satisfied by the ways things were between us and he said not really but it could work, and then i told him i wasnt satified with the way things were, that i wanted him back and that im sorry and that we could make this work. But he said that maybe we should see how it goes without each other for a couple of weeks and he'll think about it.Now my question is,should i try and date other guys until he figures out what he wants or should i wait for him because i love him?

Answer
Dear Destiny,
Actually how about neither... I think that you should use this time to just be with your friends and take care of yourself.... you don't have to date other guys because you stated that you weren't ready to so, why force yourself.  There is nothing wrong with just being alone and spending some time getting to be with your very best friend - YOU!!!!  If the two of you are meant to be together than you will be.... Jumping into new situations right away is never the right answer..... So, I think the 2 of you will figure this out... Good Luck and I wish you the best of luck.... Warmest Wishes, Erica
