Question
Hi, my name is Luis im 33 and my ex was 27 we just broke up after 1.5 years long distance relationship i went to holland 6 times last year and she came to mexico 1 and we went to New York a couple of weeks ago, we had plans of me moving there i started learning dutch, we had like everyday comunication over 30 mins. on the phone everyday, same humor, same thoughts a lot of common things, but suddenly she told me that even that she cares a lot about me she is not sure if she wants to do all the things we need to be together, so i agreed with her that it was too much, we broke up about 1 hour ago and it was strange cause we didnt feel sad or nothing like that, i told her that maybe was because we are not sure about breaking up, that we know deep inside that is not over, or at least that is what i want to think.

I will be happy if we can be together again, but actually i dont know how to do that, she told me that she stills have strong feelings for me but she doesnt want to do all the things, so i have no idea what to do know.

Answer
Hi Luis,
You really have no choice but to let her go.  If the two of you decide that you want to make this long distance relationship work it definitely takes both of you to want it.  Relationships are hard enough to begin with - throw long distance into it and it makes it even harder.  The only thing you can do is live your life, create your plans, set your goals, and allow her to do the same.  If this is meant to be - it will be... I am a firm believer of that.  Good Luck and I wish you the best.... Warmest Wishes, Erica
