my girlfriend broke up with me 3 weeks ago and said she hasn't been happy for months.  We still talk or text everyday. We agreed to meet one morning and when we did I gave her a promise ring. She took the ring and put it on and said that it was beautiful. She says that she still loves me and misses me but still needs time to figure her life out. I'm so confused, I'm going crazy! What is your advice?

My honest advice is to stop all contact with her until she figures it out.  She knows how you feel, she knows what you want, but she isn't meeting your needs and isn't happy.  Therefore, you cannot control the situation but you can maintain your self dignity and self respect by staying away.  What decision does she have to make when she breaks up with you but still gets to talk/text to you whenever she wants and you give her gifts.... Why should she make a decision - it isn't like she is missing or losing you???  I would take a "time off."  Let her figure out what she wants and you deserve that as well no matter what the outcome is.  I hope this helps and good luck...
