Question
I have been dating on and off with this girl. I am a single full time dad to a 13 yr old girl and she has a 10yr old boy. Recently she broke up with me and then initated contact to chat, we decided to try again. I thought things were going well, she talked about moving in together and where to live etc. Then all of a sudden no talk of that at all. We sleep together but never any sex, either she is to tired etc. There will be times where she is very playful with me and joke and cuddle and then nothing once again. Her son and I are now bonding and he is taking to me more in the past little while. I noticed that she is quite about this and doesn't comment on weather it is good or not. My daughter likes my girlfriend and wants to chat with her all the time. Now here is the kicker, i went to go to my e-mail the other day while at her house and she had left her e-mail open, i found e-mails from a fellow that she had met and is now talking with, on a very personal level. I don't know what to do, i want to believe that she would not go behind my back and start soemthing new while allowing the kids and I to think things are ok. What do I do?

Fred

Answer
Dear Fred,
I think that the best thing you can do is sit down and have a heart to heart talk with her explaining your concerns. Because there are children involved its important to figure out exactly what is going on and what her intentions are - that is only fair.  Unfortunately, the signs that you state in the email doesn't sound like she is on the same page as you, but if you ask her to be honest and open and you trust what she tells you then you need to make a decision that is best for you.  Good Luck and Warmest Wishes, Erica
