Question
Hi,

I broke up with my ex gf 9 months ago and now I heard that she is coming to my friend's 23rd bday in 2 weeks. I was just wondering since I moved on 2 months ago and I dont really think about her, what should I do to show her that I moved on totally?? Should I ignore her or talk to her?? We really had a bad bad break up and we didn't get to talk about it in person. Any suggestions??

THanks in advance

Answer
Dear Curtis,
You could just be cordial and polite.  Say "Hello", but avoid any long and lengthy conversation between the 2 of you.  Since you are celebrating a mutual friend's birthday - the purpose of the 2 of you being there is to do just that - celebrate your friends birthday.  If she trys to engage in any sort of communication - be nice, but firm.... If in the future you feel the need to talk about your breakup - you could do so, but I don't think this is the ideal setting to do so.  Good Luck and Warmest Wishes, Erica
