How to Breakup/Deal With Break Ups/Follow Up Quest re: Time and Space

Question
Hi Erica!  My former girlfriend asked for time and space to think and heal, etc.  I haven't talked with her in over 2 weeks.  I received an email from her inviting me (and others) to a special  event she's hosting next week. The event is for a great cause! I'm just confusexd as to why she would invite me to the event, if she wants time apart.  I have always supported her anyway that I could and am sure my presence will mean a lot to her.  Doubtful we will have time to chat since so many ppl will be around but am still confused about going.  Thoughts, suggestions?  Thx!

Answer
Dear EXC,
Absolutely NOT!!! Do not go..... you are finding reasons and justifications as to why you should... but, this is a big NO-NO!!!!! and DON'T RESPOND to the invite...... Give her the time and space ~ she doesn't get to pick what is convenient for her..... That's playing with your heart and mind.... Take back the power and feel good about you.... NOOOOOOOOOOO
