How to Breakup/Deal With Break Ups/Ignore or be straight

Question
I am trying to get over someone.  We both really liked each other.  But in the end, it didn't work out.  Emotionally, he has moved on.  But I haven't.  We are usually not in contact as much.  But I did see him at a work related event. I realized how much I still like him.  But I have to stop.  He suggested we go out for a beer or coffee to catch up.  I said sure... Not to be rude.  He will probably email me cause he is okay being friends.  But I can't be friends.  Do I ignore him or just be straight with him.  I would prefer to ignore him.  Being straight with him would mean dredging up the past.  How do I deal with this without being rude?

Answer
Sudha,

Very easily ~ don't respond at all.  If he wants to be more than friends he will stop short of nothing to be with you ~ block him from your email and don't respond... that way you are being true to yourself and the situation and starting to move on....
