Question
I called off my wedding a few months back. I always feel very heavy at heart and even though I try to engage myself in activities, I lose the urge. My performance has been affected. Also I do not feel like talking to new people. I just talk to my very close friends and sometimes feel like keeping to myself. Will this result in my going into a major depression in the long run?

Answer
Dear Anindita,
Yes, it can result in you becoming very depressed if you aren't already.  Since you have lost the urge in doing things that you previously enjoyed this is a sign that you are already falling into a depression.  Have you considered talking to a professional?? It may do you some good because calling off a wedding is a very difficult thing to do ~ it's a major loss even when it is for the best.  I would consider seeing someone professionally to help you get through this.  Good Luck
