Question
I was with this guy for 3 years and we were engaged to be married. We have a 7 month old daughter as well. He never would help take care of our daughter or get a job, so after 3 years I broke up with him. Its been 2 weeks since we've been together and the only thing I feel after all of it is guilt. I've been talking to another guy and we have a date on friday. Well, I care for this new guy a lot and it is making me feel really guilty. I don't understand why I'm feeling this guilt or what I can do to make it go away. I didn't do anything and don't understand why I would feel guilty.

Answer
Dear Linda,
In my opinion it is way to early for you to be dating.  You should take this time to be on your own and focus in on your life and child.  By starting to date so early after a breakup (not that you don't deserve to be happy) you haven't given yourself time to heal... time to get to know yourself again.... Getting rid of your last relationship since he wasn't being a MAN and taking care of business was smart.  But, right now I think you need to not date, but rather hang out with your family and friends while raising your child..... Good Luck...
