How to Breakup/Deal With Break Ups/What does he mean?

Question
I have been dating this guy for close to three weeks - so not too long - and it seemed to be going pretty well the first week. But during the second and third, he seemed to be a little more distant. Today, he told me that it seemed we didn't really do anything outside of what friends do (we were friends before he asked me out) except for kiss occasionally. He said he thought we should still see each other, but not necessarily be an item.

So, does he just want a friends with benefits type thing? This is all happening in kind of a short period of time, and it's got me really confused. I'd like to keep seeing him exclusively, but if he doesn't want that, I don't want to make him feel uncomfortable.

I do really like him, but I wonder if he's just gotten bored of me or something. Is there anything you think I can do to fix what we're missing, or is it too late and that was just his strange way of breaking up with me?

Answer
I would talk to him and ask if theres anything different he would like you to do that would make him feel like this is more of a relationship than a friendship.
If he still doesn't want that, then I would just let it go and if you can handle it, be his friend but not with benefits..if he wants that then he should also want to work on a relationship with you.

Good luck
