My boyfriend and I started dating right after his wife left him.  We have been dating for eight months and it has been great.  We see each other or talk to each other every day.  Out of the blue and with no warning, he told me that he doesn't know what he wants and needs some time.  We were not having any problems in our relationship but he did have a lot of stressful things happening in his life.  He said that he needs some time to figure things out and find himself again.  He said to give him a couple of weeks.  Does this mean he is breaking up with me?  Should I try and contact him?

Not too sure if he's trying to break up with you or not but he'd probably have told you and then not given a time limit. I would give him that couple of weeks to figure things out, but don't contact him AT ALL. Wait that two weeks out and if he doesn't contact you by then, then just send him a message or call and ask how things are going with him and see if he still wants to be with you. But don't put your life on hold for him while he's trying to figure things out, because thats not fair to you.
