How to Breakup/Deal With Break Ups/Break Up
Expert: Julie - 6/23/2009
QuestionMy first boyfriend and I broke up two weeks ago. We dated for six months, and he broke up with me. Although I know it's for the best, I'm having a really hard time. At first I just missed him tons. I went through an angry phase of about two days, and then proceeded to start to get over it. Now, however, I feel like I'm backsliding. I'm sad and grumpy all the time, EVERYTHING reminds me of him, and I keep thinking of situations that involve us getting back together. Even though I know we weren't meant to be together forever (we had our share of issues) I just feel like I wasn't done with the relationship. But, I'm not going to even see him all summer (probably a good thing). Help?! How do I get over this?
AnswerEverything your going through is totally normal in a break up..
The only way to get over this unfortunatly is time. Try to keep as busy as possible, the more time you spend dwelling on him, the harder it is to let go.
Its good that you won't be able to see him all summer because it will be easier to move on by not seeing him. No contact is the best during a break up if you want to get over him faster.
Good luck
