I was dating this guy. Not for a very long time but I developed STRONG feelings for him. Even though he has a G.F the feelings are still there. He keeps telling me that we could get together in the future, and has told me not to let go, but it hurts so much. What should I do?

If I were you I'd let go..he's being extremely selfish in asking you to be his back up in case things don't work out with his new girlfriend, if he really liked you, he'd leave her to be with you. But he just wants to have his cake and eat it too, and thats not fair to you. I'd explain to him that you like him a lot and would love to be with him, but that you can't sit around waiting, its too painful, and it will continue to be painful.
And that he can give you a call if he becomes available and then you can see if you still want a future with him.
