i was dating this guy for 2mos and broke it off in August he never called or anything just let it be to see why i broke up with him.Yesterday was my birthday and he called me and we spoke for a while i was pretty much surprised.What do you think he wants just never expected him to call me

I think he is probably wondering why you broke up with him and if maybe theres a chance you two can get back together, if he didn't still have feelings for you then he wouldn't have contacted you. Did he bring anything up during the conversation? Perhaps it was just a friendly call on his part but if he calls you back, are you willing to just be friends with him or be straight up with him, because if he called now he'll probably call again.
