Breast Cancer/Lumps after biopsy

Question
In January of 2007 I had a 3x5cm painful lump/mass removed from my right breast.  The biopsy said that it was normal but extremely dense breast tissue.  The mammogram I had at the time was inconclusive, however there were several small white spots on it.  I now have 4 new lumps.  They are all painful to varying degrees.  At any given moment in time I am in slight pain from them.  When it's at it's worst I can barely breath.  I can hardly sleep because there is no way to be comfortable.  I have an appointment with my OB in a few weeks, but am feeling a little anxious now.  Do you have any ideas as to what could be causing this?

PS:  I am a 30 year old mother of who who nursed for a total of 2 years.  My mom is a breast cancer survivor.

Answer
Probably fibroadenomas or cysts (none of these is dangerous). Breast cancer is usually not associated with pain and tenderness and you have had a rather typical lesion of this kind removed last year. So you probably have what is called a fibrocystic breast condition which makes these lesions appear.
