Question
I had a sonogram done on January 14, 2008 and i dont quite understand the results can someone please explain in a way that i can understand.

The results
Within the left lower axillary tail, one identifies an oval, Hypoechoic solid mass with a central Hilum of increased Echogenicity. This has a Benign appearance of a Lymph Nede. It measures approximately 0.4 x 0.5 cm.
I dont have an appointment to see the surgen until Feb. 18th 2008. I am a little worried because I dont understand.

Answer
This is nothing alarming! what is seen is a SMALL mass (0.16 x 0.2 inches in size). It does not look dangerous in any way. It looks like a normal lymph node and is located on your left side down close to your arm pit. You can wait until you have your appointment!
