Question
My wfe had ductile carcinoma in her right breast. She went through chemotherapy , suregery and radiotherapy. and was cleared. However after 4 months she developed lobular carcinoma in the other breast. She again underwent surgery and radiotherapy. She refused chemotherapy as it had not been effective . She ER PR Negative. now both her breasts have become extremely hard and painful and have become dark . She is unable to sleep in any position becuaseof this. Now she is taking Lepatinib (Tykerb) and Xyloda.for the past two months. There has been no improvementShe had undergone bone scan and was cleared. We want to know what is the future course to reduce her pain and suffering. will she ever get cured?

Answer
Her second cancer was probably completely independent of her first one since its pathology (ductal visa vi lobular) was completely different. So I'm sorry she did not accept more chemo therapy! Without an examination it is impossible to tell you what this is now. What do her drs. say with regards to the condition of her breasts?!
