Question
i am 34, no fam hx of bc. Gyn felt a lump and I had a mammo and US done. Report came back as follows few scattered begign appearing calcifications. ALso said nodular asymmetry seen inferiorly on the L MLO projection, likely represents asymmetric fibroglandular tissue. Impression was probably begign asymmetry within the left 6 to 7 o'clock axis, follow up in 6 months.Gyn called and said that when the next mammo in 6 months is done if there is any more asymmetry at 6 to 7 o'clock they would do a biopsy. Are these results considered normal? What are your thoughts on thermography? Thank you

Answer
Well this is probably a varition of a normal condition. I doubt very much that this is anything dangerous. However I would have ordered a nedle biopsy right away to be on the safe side. But I would have easy access to that facility so it is easy for me to say. I doubt that thermography can add anything hee to our knowledge.
