Breast Cancer/Breast Calcification

Question
I have been informed that I have some calcification in my right breast that was not on my previous mammogram and need to receive additional testing.  I have had bariatric surgery since then.  Is it possible that I am losing calcium due to the surgery and it is being deposited into my breast?

Answer
Was your surgery in your breast? If not I think that explanation is very unlikely! It is not very probable even if you have had some sort of surgery there.
Ask for an MRI breast scan of that lesion and an ultrasound scan of it and if still somewhat unclear after that a needle biopsy of the lesion so that you will know what it is and do not have to wait!
