Breast Cancer/i have a lump in my breast

Question
hi.
i am only 15 years old so i heavily doubt that it's breast cancer, but i found a "grape" sized lump in my left breast. i was wondering what it might be. i have a kind of fibrosis in my breasts and that runs in my family. i've been told that could have something to do with it. i was also told it might just be a swollen or clogged milk dud.
i'm really not sure what to think.
my mother is taking me to the doctor tomorrow to get blood taken to see if i have cancer cells in my blood. so i guess i'm asking this question a bit too late, but it never hurts to have a second opinion.
ok well any suggestion on what you think it might be would help.

Thank You,
Jazmyn

Answer
It is rather impossible (at least at present) to find cancer cells in the blood, even in patients with known existing breast cancers! So if that is the purpose of the visit your mother will be disappointed!  At your age breast cancer is almost unheard of! Since you seem to have a history of a fibrocystic breast condition the lesion you have is probably either a fibroadenoma or a cyst. Neither is dangerous. But to make this sure let the dr. check you! Good luck!
