Question
after recent mammogram , they sent me for a breast MRI. They said the everything looks okay but R breast there may be a shadow... I have extremly dense breast and clustered calcifications... they told me not to worry re- check in one year..... Family history of cancer runs very high in the family.. Is it safe to wait a year?
Breast MRI scans give MUCH more and better information than x-ray mammography, especially with dense breasts. If they have said that everything is ok you can probably wait a year until next scan. If ANYTHING is unclear however I strongly do recommend a needdle biopsy of what is unclear! Good luck!
