Question
My Radiologist had asked me to go USG tru cut biopsy for the lump which is in my right breast in the upper quadrant. It was done just two days ago and i am waiting for my report. After the biopsy I have been having a pain in my right shoulder and hand . Is it because of the biopsy or is it that the lump is malignant and the cancer has spread to other places. I also wish to know how long can one survive the breast cancer (post surgery and without surgery). Thanks & warm regards

Answer
It is probably due to the biopsy. If you are cured by the treatment you would have a normal life span ahead of you. Without any surgery or treatment is impossible to say, depends on the growth rate and spreading tendency of a cancer - if indeed you have one which at present is unknown - so the individual variations are too big to give you a general answer, BUT without treatment it will NOT be fun!
