Breast Cancer/Trigger finger

Question
Hi,
my sister had surgery for breast cancer and while on chemo, she's experiencing what is know as trigger finger.  Her thumbs get locked in place.  They now prescribe other medication for that and it's causing problems and not working well. Is there any advice that you could recommend as an alternative to taking all these meds?

Thanks

Answer
This question is probably best answered by an orthopedic surgeon since it probably is outside my area of expertise here. Is what she has what an orthopedist would call a tendovaginitis? What kind of treatment has she received? Antiinflammatory medication? Heparin?

This condition has most probably nothing to do with her breast cancer or with its treatment even though it by coincidence happened to appear during her treatment. It is an orthopedic condition so outside my area of expertise here. So just as I originally suggested you should discuss this with an orthopedic surgeon or a hand surgeon.
