Question
Hello, I am 25 years old and found a lump on my right breast about 2 months ago. I went for an ultra sound, 2 mammograms and an MRI. I go for a consultaion soon and possibly a biopsy they said. What are the chances that I will have breast cancer. I was told that age is on my side but the dotors seem surpised as well. Its about 3cm big I think? What are your thoughts. Another thing they said I have very dense breast a 4, even for my age they said I would have a 4, your thoughts?

Answer
If your breasts are very dense (which is not uncommon in women your age) it is VERY difficult to conclude ANYTHING from your mammograms and we will have to rely on your ultrasound scans and MRI scans AND of course on a biopsy of your lesion which in this situation SHOULD be done! However without having access to your full mammography, ultrasound and MRI reports it is impossible for me to evaluate your situation. But if you can type those reports here for me so that I have copies of them I'll be able to give you a much better evaluation! Yes age is on your side but it is not a guarantee. If they said that you have a BIRAD 4 then it is rather probable that your lump is a cancer, but it is not certain. So please let me read those reports and I'll be able to tell you more!
