Question
hi i watched somthing on a tv show that said beer produces estrogen is this true? and if so would being a heavy beer drinker put me at a greater risk of developing breast cancer because of alot of estrogen?

Answer
Heavy drinking (including beer & wine) can harm the liver so that excessive amounts of estrogen will build up (the liver normally breaks down estrogen). That MAY increase your breast cancer risk. But I have not seen any statistics on that. If you drink that much you are in danger of being killed from a multitude of alcohol related causes anyhow!
