Question
I am a 38 years old.  I've had what has been called, up until now, a cyst on my right breast at 10 o'clock.  For the past 2 years it has been the same size & wasn't palpable.  2 weeks ago, I felt it during my self exam and called my Dr.  It has more than trippled in size since May 22, 2008 and no longer is in the shape of an egg.  I had a fine needle biopsy done on Monday and the Dr told me he doesn't think it's cancer, but the size concerns him greatly.  I'm concerned - for 2 years I thought it was fluid filled & now find out it's not.  Why would it be the same size for 2 years then grow this much in 9 months?  Thank you so much for the time you put into helping us...

Well this is a rather strange case. If your dr. is right and it is not a cancer why has it grown? Is it the cyst itself that has grown or something else? We have to wait for the fine/thin needle aspiration biopsy result. Was any mammography, MRI breast scan and/or ultrasound breast scan done? If so I would like to read the report(s). Please do keep me posted with regards to all results! Unfortunately nothing more can be said at present before any results are known.
