Question
I am a 49 yr old female in menopause and I have a very large hard mass with little movement behind my nipple and it extends to the bottom of the breast and over to the left towards the middle of my chest. Can you offer any insight.  I am scheduled for a mammo this Wednesday

Well without an examination that is rather difficult. However your description of it does not sound good. How long have you felt it there? Please do keep me posted with regards to the mammography results. Ask for an ultrasound scan and if possible also an MRI scan at the same time. If possible try to get a thin/fine needle aspiration biopsy of your lesion soonest and let me have the result. You can copy all results here.
