Question I am 33 years old with no family history of breast cancer. My Mother has had kidney cancer - other than that - no immediate family members with cancer. I am para 2 gravida 2 both my c-section - never breastfed either child. I had a total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral oophersalpingectomy done approximately 3 years ago and have been on Enjuvia for HRT since. I now am finding an area of lumps on my left upper outer breast. One spot feels the size of a walnut and one spot feels the size of a half a peanut. They are quite solid in nature but moveable it seems. I do have larger breasts - so self-exams sometimes are difficult. What should y plan of action be? Should I be concerned about cancer or does this sound like fibrocystic changes?
Answer It may be but without an examination it is impossible to tell. So I do suggest that you let a dr. check you soonest including mammography, ultrasound breast scans and MRI breast scans and also at least needle biopsies of your lesions. That way we will KNOW what this is and do not need to speculate! Good luck!
