Question
I did a self breast exam and I did not feel a lump/knot just the normal lumpiness from breast tissue. I am a plus size woman breast are between d and dd. For years now I have had soreness but I thought it was due to gaining weight which I did quit rapidly for awhile but not in the past 5 years stayed about the same. Why do I have such tender sore areas in my breast? I know it isnt from sexual activity.
Many women have that problem, especially if they - like you seem to have - have a fibrocystic breast condition (lumpiness from breast tissue). Its causes are mainly hormonal. Pain is not usually an early cancer symptom. Do you go regularly to a dr. for breast check ups including mammography, ultrasound & MRI breast scans? If not you should!
