Breast Cancer/Mammogram

Question
Findings: The density and calcification in the upper outer quadrant of the left breast is more pronounced when compared to the previous examination. No abnormanl mass or calcification in the right breast. Axillary lymph nodes are seen bilaterally. I want to know exactlly what this may be so that I have no surprises. I am scheduled for a biopsy.

Answer
The reason you are going for a biopsy is that it is NOT known (by anyone) what this is at present but it needs to be investigated. If I - or somebody else - could tell you exactly what this is no biopsy would be necessary. So unfortunately we have to wait for the pathology report of your biopsy. Please do keep me posted!
