Question QUESTION: Can you please interpret? Right breast ultrasound demonstrates 3 nodules in the upper outer right breast. The first is seen to measure 1.1 x 0.6 x 1.1 cm, 5.0 cm from the nipple. This is wider than tall and does not demonstrate through shadowing, however there is slight irregularity noted of the lateral margin. Adjacent to this at 11:00 o'clock position are the two other nodules, well circumscribed heterogeneous, wider than tall. I'm scheduled for a biopsy. What does this all mean?
ANSWER: Ultrasound has demonstrated 3 lesions in your right breast in its upper right side of which the largest one (less than half an inch in size) looks a little bit uncertain (not much). So to be on the safe side a biopsy has been ordered. So would I have done. But the cancer risk is probably not big. Good luck!

QUESTION: By the report, what would those nodules be if not cancerous? A cyst??
Answer It is not possible to be sure. I think it is probable that at least the large one is a fibroadenoma. But the reason a biopsy is being done is to be SURE what it is! It is possible that the other 2 also are fibroadenomas. They do not show ANY signs of being cancerous however.
